Today we're happy to host Cori and Joyelle, founders of Oh Lovely Bows, a lovely local blog we've come to know this past year. The ladies have a heap of talent and are sharing this simple, yet adorable fresh cedar branch wreath.
Tell us a bit about your vignette?
Cori: I'm really into 'less is more' with my Christmas aesthetic this year. I grew up in a home filled to the brim with classic Christmas decor, which was lovely and what I carried on in my home as an adult. But after living abroad last year, I am very content with a more subtle approach. I bought the fresh pine and cedar branches from a local florist and the rest of the decor I had around my home. Adding white lights to anything makes it feel a little more festive!
Joyelle: I love Cori's aesthetic of copper, white and natural touches in her home. Meanwhile, there's a reason we didn't send any photos of my place - I went a little tinsel crazy.
What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Cori: So many things! I love watching all the classic Christmas movies with my husband. We just watched 'It's a Wonderful Life' - such a good one! I also love baking with my in-laws and Friendsmas with my dearest friends.
Joyelle: The holidays wouldn't be the same without celebrating Friendsmas each year - the white elephant gift exchange is always good for a laugh with our little group. But mainly, I just love the blessing of good friends.
What are your go-to gifts this year?
1. Coconut Rooibos Chai and/or Earl Grey Cream from La Petite Cuillerre (on Main and Broadway) is delicious and makes a great gift for tea lovers.
2. We are big fans of this local company. I plan to gift a few of the patches to my Star Wars loving friends - perfect timing too!
3. Anything hand made is usually our go to. I'm making these yarn planters as gifts along with a beautiful plant so all they have to do is hang it up!
