Fun DIY: Galaxy Glitter Playdough

Be the coolest mom on earth (well you don't even have to be a mom) and make this galaxy playdough for a fun play date.  Here's the recipe below, and there's more tips and pics over at Instructables.

2 cups of plain flour
2 cups of water with black and blue food coloring (you will need the large bottle of black food coloring for the deep color)
1 Tbsp. of cooking oil
1 Tbsp. cream of tartar
1 cup of salt
glitter - silver, purple, blue

You said there are more tips and tricks over at Instructables. Where is that? I'd like to make this for my classroom.

Do you just mix it....do you cook it?? I make playdough at work and we cook ours...I've used Kool-Aid in it for colour and smell and this recipe is similar except for the amount of food colour and glitter.

Once you roll it into the playdough it pretty much stays there. Not like making an art project with glitter.

I've made this and it's awesome. I used black and blue gel food colouring in it and my only complaint is that after playing with it for long periods (more than an hour)some of the red that's obviously in the black colouring tends to transfer to your hands. Otherwise, my son LOVES it.

I'm going to make some, roll it out flat, and put it into an ultra-modern style frame.

Does the amount of dye in the dough stain fingers? Thanks.
