Handbound Books

roughdrAftbooks.etsy.com

There's just something about a handbound book, journal (or notebook). It says so many things; "romantic", "old school", "appreciation of quality work", appreciation for handmade". It's an amazing gift to give or receive. roughdrAftbooks out of Philadelphia, Julie Boyles of Indianapolis, Indiana and Erinzam of Santa Monica, CA makes some beautiful ones. Check them out here, here or here and at our market this month here.

oh wow. I am a journal addict as it is, so hand bound beauties like these are hard to resist...I LOVE the simplicity in them, despite their articulate construction.
I think the leather bound ones are my fav.

I love these hand-bound journals... but wouldn't it be great if we could find folks to re-bind our all-time favorite reads? I've worn out 3 copies of Umberto Eco's Foucault's Pendulum and would LOVE my very own hand-bound copy...
