Trends 2010: Canadian H&H's Annual Roundup
Now here's a stocking stuffer! My favourite issue of the year from Canadian House and Home; their "Trends Issue" (January 2010) is out, and I just flipped through it quickly today, oooooh-ing and ahhhhhh-ing along the way. I hope to cover a bit of it on the blog (perhaps through the holidays) as I soak it all in. They are predicting the "Look of the Year" to be "Traditional Remix" which they explain as "formal softened up". See above photo (taken by Angus Fergusson) as the main queue. Chintz upholstery contrasting with masculine leather, industrial sconces, vintage modern lamps on lacquered tables. You get the idea.
