We loved the idea of those canisters from granit so much in the cook out post (above), we thought it might be a fun project to make them! We found these metal tins at the container store and the chalkboard paint at any hardware store, we found it online at target or rona. We're thinking the spray paint version would be best, and then just cut out a rectangle stencil and spray inside.

Cool idea! I can't wait to try it. Thanks for making it easier by including the source of the raw materials.
What a great idea! I must make them right away!

HWAH! Fabulous. I will be trying this one out for sure!
Spray is VERY difficult to control. I did it on a wall in my kitchen and am still finding tiny little particles 1/2 year later!
Took about 3 coats of it too. I've heard that the brush application is much easier!
