wow, half a tree just to send a postcard. it looks nice, but so wasteful
here in Maine we used to (maybe still do!) have wooden postcards at the novelty shops, but be sure to check with the post office before you send one out, it does not take a regular postcard stamp, and I have been told that you have to mail them in an envelope as well. I am pretty sure there would be a non machinable surcharge, because if it went through those machines, you'd have splintered wood by the time it arrived. This was a few years back when I wanted to send one to a friend, and with postage going up, I am sure it would cost $$ to mail it. The ones I saw also had a double purpose, they were made of cedar wood and could be put into a drawer after to keep things smelling nice and the moths out!
Wedding Invitations! YES!!! This would be a terrific green idea if the wood was found at a local recycling center. OH I LOVE THIS IDEA!
Hey! Joanna from UncommonGoods here. Just wanted to say thanks for the post and to let everyone know that if you loved this, you should definitely check out our stitching postcard as well!
