was at paper-ya over the weekend and saw some great felt bags and pencil cases from this company hey-sign out of germany. i was surprised to find they also make all these wonderful table-top accessories, cushions and even rugs, all out of of that thick felt i still can't find in any local stores. where does one buy this stuff?

small pieces are available in a few colours at Daiso in Richmond (although that was a month ago and they might change over stock) but I was happily surprised when I came across them!
This "industrial felt" is quite popular here in Germany right now. You can find placemats, coasters, bags etc. pretty much everywhere - I still really love it, though! There is a very nice felt shop in Munich, never been there in person but was able to send some friends there who went to Munich not too long ago. I recently bought a big piece of thick grey felt right here in my hometown, Braunschweig, as there is a "felt factory" right here as well. They also have an English website: www.neufilz.de
