i'm so glad to have finally found this website for vancouver based, hob snobs. after eyeing their product at my favorite papiere for quite sometime now, i just stumbled upon their site via shop cocoon, a store down on cambie i posted about back last february. anyway, hob snobs is sasha barry, heather emery, carley hodgkinson, and valerie thai; a vancouver-based art & design collective making charming, eclectic, and fashionable mix of items for the home, closet, and everyday living. unfortunately their site is under construction, but at least you can get a sense of what they have to offer. i am in love with their wooden pencil boxes, with burnt engraving of charming squirrels and other forest images. they remind me of an old chess set, where the lid slides back and forth to open and shut. i must get down to shop cocoon to take a peak at what's new there.
