Getting ready and organized for back-to-school can sometimes seem a little daunting, and to help ease into the season, we've created three fun do-it-yourself projects to kick things off and to get you ready for a more successful year ahead. We're excited to be partnering with Scotch™ Brand on these projects, since they are such a reliable and consistent part of the back to school toolbox.





All of these projects are free downloadable printables that you can print individually or together as a set, depending on your need, space requirements and budget. The files are created and intended to be sent off to your local printer to print onto engineer paper, making them big enough to perfectly use Post-it ® Brand Notes (3x3") for each specific square. Note: Engineer prints are super-affordable, just ask your printer to print the file(s) as an engineer print, they cost approximately $4 CAD/page. The size is 24" x 36". You could also just ask to print one a month if budget doesn't allow. It's a fun way to make big plans for the new school year ahead.

To start, we created a giant printable goals chart, that you can easily glance at on the daily to keep objectives in focus and organized, secondly, a poster size calendar to keep daily events, appointments and plans easily accessible for everyone to see, and thirdly a desktop calendar pad (my go-to) for quickly jotting things down while I'm at work.

No 1. Giant Goals Chart



How-to
Download the file (link below) and then just forward the file to your local printer by email, or put it on a USB stick and take it to them personally if you prefer. Ask your printer to print the file as an "engineer print", the price should be approximately $4 CAD/page. Then once it's printed, attach to the wall using clips, or we also like using Scotch™ Brand Expressions Washi Tapes (attaching a piece to each corner). Then start creating your goals, writing each one down using Post-it® Super Sticky Full Adhesive Notes, Rio de Janeiro Collection (3" x 3") and then applying to each applicable tile. We've separated them into five different categories (home, family, career, life and travel) and then different time intervals from 3 months to 3 years.

2. Poster-Size Calendar



How-to
Again, download the files (link below) and then forward them to your local printer by email, or download onto a USB stick and take it to the printers personally if you prefer. Ask your printer to print the files as "engineer prints" (the price should be approximately $4 CAD/page). You can have them print an individual month if you prefer, or have them print the entire set. The entire calendar set runs August 2018 through to July 2019.

Once printed, you can hang the prints all together or individually to a wall (we used bull dog clips), or attach each month individually with tape (we love using Scotch™ Brand Expressions Washi Tapes with all their fun colours, (attaching a piece to each corner). Then start adding your daily events, appointments, etc., by writing each one down using Post-it® Super Sticky Full Adhesive Notes, Rio de Janeiro Collection (3" x 3") and then applying to each applicable tile.

3. Desktop Pad-Style Calendar



How-to
Download the files (link below) and then forward them to your local printer by email, or download onto a USB stick and take it to the printers personally if you prefer. Ask your printer to print the files as "engineer prints" (the price should be approximately $4 CAD/page). Each page for this project contains 3 pieces that you will cut out —2 months per page and one goal page for each page. You can have them print individual pages if you prefer,or have them print the entire set. The entire calendar set runs August 2018 through to July 2019. For this set there are seven pages in total including the cover page (which you can ask the printer not to print, as you don't need the cover).

Once printed, cut along each dotted line for each month or goal. When you have cut out all of the pages, tape them all together (we used Scotch™ Brand Expressions Washi Tape) to create a desktop pad out of the entire set. You can add notes on the left-hand side of the individual months in the space provided which we've created so that the Post-it® Super Sticky Full Adhesive Notes, Rio de Janeiro Collection (3" x 3") will fit perfectly.
