Room For Tuesday |
Always on the lookout for the cool decorating tricks for outdoor summer space projects, we've been collecting a few ideas on our Patio + Deck Pinterest board this past month or so, and think we have a few gems to share in a proper round-up with you. So many talented ideas out there, from carports to quaint backyard cabins, here's a few outdoor spaces that have caught our eye as of late!
1. Carport Makeover
(Above) The oh-so-talented Sarah of Room For Tuesday created the most adorable outdoor dining space in what? Yes, her carport! And how beautiful. Check out her blog for the amazing transformation before and after!
2. Backyard Cabin
(Below) And how cozy is thisbackyard cabin sleeping space from Bolig Magazine? We featured this one on our Instagram this past week. Love.
3. A Garden Retreat
A lovely space to lounge in the backyard garden. Created by Lobster and Swan. Click here to see more.
A fun idea for a large backyard, which includes a gravel path back to the house. The how to shows how to make the gravelled path and fire pit. Click here for the instructions.
5. DIY Shaded Pergola
A clever and budget-friendly way (using painters drop cloth) to create a shaded backyard pergola. Click here for the how-to.
6. Gravel + Shale
Love this space landscaped with just a little gravel and shale stepping stones that lead out to a hanging chair and black painted fence and what looks like a path that leads further but is a clever placement of a mirror to give the illusion of something further. Also, the possibility of a wooden platform deck on the left. Via bobedre.dk.
7. A Cluster of Potted Plants
No easier or faster way to create a look, than with a cluster of different sized potted plants on a deck. Love the desert hues of this combo from the home of Pamela Shamshiri via Sfgirlbybay. Click here to see a tour of her modern home.
8. Hammock the Day Away
Nothing like an inviting hammock to say summer. Love this little corner patio nestled in Mill Valley, California. Via Sfgirlbybay.
9. A Super-Frugal Pergola
Although a few years old this image (below) I believe, I do like the budget-friendly idea of creating a covered-folding pergola attached to the side of the house. Click here for the how-to.
