DIY | An Awesome Printable Planner

This post is in partnership with Scotch™ Brand and Post-it®. Scotch™ Brand and Post-it® products work the first time, every time.

With back-to-school just around the corner, I've been wanting to get super-organized for myself and our family this year. To get myself on track I've been looking for a certain style of planner, where I can really keep everything all in one place. You know, a one-stop book, where I can have my schedule, my meal plans, shopping lists and goals all-in-one. And hey, maybe even a place to brainstorm big ideas if the urge should occur. When I was dreaming all of this up I realized, it would be really nice to be able to have a place for my lists that I could write on Post-it Notes for example, then pull them off my planner and run into the store with it and pick up dinner on the way home from work. Are you with me? Or maybe it's my To-Do's that I need to bring with me (without lugging the entire planner on my errand run). And then how fun would it be that I could design all of this and turn it into a printable for our readers? So with the help of Scotch™ Brand, a reliable and consistent part of the back to school toolbox, I'm super-excited to have designed this collection of planner printables just for you! Let's get started!

How-To
I've created a time-lapse video which I'm attaching below to help to see how I put this all together.

Print
To start, print out all of the printables you wish to use. (See links under the "Printables" section above).

Print 1 "vellum cover" onto vellum paper
Print 1 "roses inside cover" onto cardstock paper
Print 1 "pocket sheet" to create a pocket which will be pasted onto a blank sheet of paper.
Print 15 of the "daily sheet" (2 days per sheet) for one month onto 20 lb paper
Print 2 "brainstorm sheets" onto 20 lb paper
Print 1 of each "6 month planner sheets" (4 in total) onto 20 lb paper:

Jul 1 - 15 to Dec 1 - 15/17
Jul 16  - 31 to Dec 16 - 31/17
Jan 1 - 15 to Jun 1 - 15/18
Jan 15 - 31 to June 16 to 30/18

Print 1 to 2 sheets of "sticker sheets" (or as many as needed) onto sticker paper
Print 2 to 3 "lined sheets" (or as many as needed) onto 20 lb paper

Fold
Fold the cover, inside rose cover, daily sheets, lined sheets and brainstorm sheets in half. For the 6 month planner sheets, tape each 6 month together. And then fold those in half (see the video to see what I mean). Place aside.

For the covers
Print out both covers, the vellum onto vellum, and the inside rose cover onto cardstock or regular paper. Fold in half together and place aside.

For the Pocket Sheet
Fold in half (width-wise) and paste to a folded (height-wise) 8.5 x 11 using the Scotch™ Brand Double-Sided Tape. Place aside.

For the Daily Sheets
For the "daily sheets", place 2 to 3  Post-it® Notes (1-7/8 in x 1-7/8) on the four blank spaces under the "To-Do" section and under the "Shopping List/Pick-Up" section. Place aside.

For the 6 Month Monthly Planners
Tape each 6 month together using Scotch™ Brand Magic Tape. And then fold those in half (see the video to see what I mean). Place aside.

For the Brainstorm Sheets
Place the "lined Post-it® Notes (4 in x 4 in) in the "Ideas" section provided. Fold together and place aside.

For the stickers
Print out the sticker file onto sticker paper. Cut out and place wherever you like!

Create Planner
Fold each section together into sections. Then stick the Post-it® Tabs to each section and write on each tab. (Eg. Daily, Monthly, Brainstorm). Then place into the inside cover, and lastly the vellum cover. Tie together using string, or if you wish to make it even more secure use an awl to poke holes through all of the sheets, to create a secure book. Then stick stickers wherever you like! And voila! Your awesome printable planner is ready to take on the new school year!
