Sneak Peek | Ideas Magazine Is Back! April Issue

Earlier this year we were a little sad to hear the news that Ideas Magazine was closing it's doors and so when we heard wind that the South African DIY magazine had started up again, we were thrilled!  The people involved with the magazine got together, dried their tears, and launched a crowd funder through Thundafund, set up home offices and are back! With the same people behind the helm, same paper, and same content, their return issue is a delightful treat of all things you've come to know and love from Ideas Magazine.  Let's take a sneak peek! (Above cover illustration by Carolyn Gavin).

As this month's craft project, they've created a collection of projects upcycling glass vases and bottles. Projects and styling by Carin Smith and photos by Ed O'Riley.

Also included is an adorable birthday calendar created using paper illustrations collage-style by Idea's very own Hannes Koegelenberg. Reminds us of a paper tole craft we used to do as kids that makes it look 3D.

Ideas Magazine is chocked full of ideas, and another this month that we love are these hand-embroidered hoop wall art ideas. Create an adorable vignette of hand-embroidered quotes and interesting illustrations onto fabric. Projects by Karen Adendorff, styling Carin Smith and photos by Ed O'Riley.
