Candy Apple Monster Cones

It's candy apple season, and can we talk about how fun these are to make?  The idea came to me  one night in a dream (haha). Take your favorite Halloween treat and turn it upside-down! Into a cone head! This project is super-easy to make and a fun activity for the kids.  Plus, they're rather tasty!

Candy Apple Monster Cones
6 small apples
2 packages of candy melts in different colours
1 package of candy eyes
6 sugar cones
Sprinkles

Directions
Wash and remove any wax from the apples, remove stems and place aside Pour sprinkles into a flat bowl and set aside. In a microwave-safe bowl (deep enough to dip the apples into), melt the candy melts as per the packages directions.  Usually melting in 20 second increments.  Stir melts until smooth.  Be careful not to overheat. Dip an apple (stem side down first) by twirling apple around until well covered. Place on parchment paper.  Add candy eyes immediately so they will stick.  Dip a sugar cone slightly into the candy melt mixture and then into the bowl of sprinkles. Place immediately onto the apple to stick.  Let dry.  Repeat until all apples are done. Apples and cones should stick together very well after a couple of hours.  Enjoy!
