Willow and Stump

A couple more highlights from the Interior Design Show this weekend! Above (and directly below) to start, Willow and Stump along with Mathew McCormick, Barter Design are some of the 5 designers at IDS Offsite in October, when IDS Vancouver is the cultural partner for Dutch Design Week. They had a little preview here this week.

Dinner By Design

We loved the collection of decorated tables for the Dinner By Design event this year. Dinner by Design brings together internationally celebrated designers and local talent to create three-dimensional dining installations that set the stage for fun and fascination over 6 days at 2 locations. They are then recreated at the show, and here's a couple that inspired.

We loved the lighting by Chambers and Stark's table (below).  Such a great DIY idea!

Open Studio

Open Studio is a select group of designers or design firms who participated in a curated installation that focused on a singular theme. For 2016 IDS Vancouver partnered with Portland-based Colorhouse Paint to present the Colour Edition. Open Studio occupied featured a group of designers who presented their concept based on the singular theme of colour. With a 10′ x 10’ raw space as a blank canvas, the participants showcased their notion of the theme colour with the opportunity to create either a functional or conceptual installation within 100 square feet.
