Last year we were thrilled to attend IKEA's Democratic Design Day, and although we weren't there physically this year, we were there in spirit and watched their live feed presentation at 2am Pacific time last night. Besides IKEA's big announcement today about their latest collaborations with Tom Dixon and Hay Design (that we wrote about earlier), here are a few more new collections or pieces (thanks to Instagram) that we're looking forward to seeing in person at our local IKEA store here next year!
1. SPRIDD Camping Collection
Designed by Fashion Designer, Kit Neale
2. New IKEA Stockholm Collection
Loving these wicker chairs launching spring 2017.
3. JASSA Collection
Dutch designer Piet Hein Eek and IKEA collaborate on a limited collection inspired by Indonesian craftmanship.
4. IVAR Welcomes a Table
We loved all the add-on accessories IKEA made to the IVAR last year and this year they're including a fold-down table to the mix.
5. Pinar&Viola
New textiles by Pinar & Viola for IKEA - Birds and the bees launches June 2017.
6. Recycled Chairs
These chairs are made of 70% recycled plastic and 30% wood. Launches August 2017.
7. New Peg Boards
Cool pegboard tablets due in stores in Spring 2017.
8. Fold Down Bed
Lots of space saving and fluid-style furniture like this fun fold down bed (1st clip) - great for small spaces.
9. AVSIKTLIG Collaboration
Lots of colour and pattern happening!
10. Plant Stand
We're loving this prototype for a new plant stand. More info below.
