Ice Cream Bar | Sea Salt + Vanilla No Machine Soft Serve

After eyeing those mouth-watering double flavour soft serve ice creams on Instagram lately (and particularly from Aqua S in Australia), I thought it would be fun to make a soft serve of my own since a visit to Australia probably isn't going to happen anytime soon. Since we don't have a soft serve machine, this idea came to mind and turned out to be kind of a fun thing to do.  Save it for a rainy day.

What You'll Need:
(for one serving)
4 scoops of vanilla ice cream (get our recipe here or use your favorite).
1/4 tsp sea salt
Cones
icing decorating set from Wilton, called Color Swirl
marshmallow (optional)
chef's torch (if you wish to have a roasted marshmallow)
blue food colouring

How to Make:
(Note - you'll have to work quite fast, as the ice cream melts quickly obviously. If it starts to melt, just place in the freezer for a bit).  Put two scoops of ice cream in one bowl, and two scoops in another.  In the first bowl, mix 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt and one drop of blue food colouring.  Mix til soft.  In the other bowl, just mix till soft.  Using the Color Swirl icing decorating set, put the blue sea salt ice cream in one icing decorating bag, and the plain vanilla ice cream in the other. Place the two bags together and use the star tip and start to squeeze the ice cream onto the cone, soft-serve style.  Brown a marshmallow using a chef's torch, by placing the marshmallow on a long wooden skewer.  Once browned poke into the ice cream and it's ready to serve!  Fun!

Adorable! And perfect for the upcoming summer. Although, I don't think I can wait that long to make it!
