10 IKEA Hack Ideas for the Holidays!

A few fun IKEA hack ideas (holiday style) were found this week via IKEA UK just in time for the holidays. Do you have your tree up yet? Hope you'll find some inspiration! We did!

 1. A Tree Branch In a Vase
A modern take on a Scandinavian tradition.  A vase within a vase is the trick! Click here for more info.

2. Make Your Own Gift Wrap
Personalize gift wrapping with cookie cutters, MÃ…LA paint and MÃ…LA drawing paper roll.

3. A Tree Stand
Drill a hole in an ODDVAR stool and use it as a tree stand.  Click here for more info.

4. A Tree Alternative
No room for a real tree this year? Create an alternative tree by using the side unit of an IVAR storage unit as a frame, framing the outside with a string of lights and place string horizontally across, creating a ladder effect and outline a tree shape with ornaments. Click here for more info.

5. Family Ornaments
Dress the tree with faces of your loved ones with this cool idea using spoons. Click here for more info.

6. Make a Tree with Lights
An oldie but a goodie. Another fun alternative to a tree using a string of lights.  Click here to see more lights.

7. Bauble Heart DIY
How adorable is this?  For the holidays or for everyday?

8. Make a Quiet Space
It's amazing what a few lights and a cozy space can do during the stressful period just before the holidays. We like this one that could also sit in as a Christmas tree if need be. Place the presents inside and you're set! (Great idea for a holiday away from home).

9. Pretty Advent
Make a fun advent using gift wrap and vinyl numbers. All about these shimmery pinks, blues and silver papers.

10.  Festive Meatballs
And what's an IKEA Christmas without some festive meatballs (or meatless - as in this picture - featuring their new veggie balls).  Add a cute banner for a fun appetizer idea! Click here for more info.
