Dispatch from France | Le Salon Création et Savoir Faire

Our hearts are heavy and sad for what has happened in Paris (and to the world) this past week. These are such crazy times we live in, so difficult to understand such cowardly, barbaric acts. But we also know how important it is to move on, show solidarity for freedom to live and freedom to create.

Which brings us to this amazing image we happened upon while visiting makers we know and care about in France on instagram this weekend.  The very talented, Sandra of Jesus Sauvage posted this "Rock'n'DIY" (as she calls it), adding Liberty fabric (and gold string) to a Fender-style guitar for the Le Salon Création et Savoir Faire (Make it Yourself Exhibition) in Paris starting tomorrow and running through to November 22nd/15. We are happy to hear the show presented by Marie Claire Idees will go on with extra security measures in place.  Sandra will be teaching a workshop along with many others in what we think is going to be a great place to gather as a creative community in Paris this weekend.
