Sneak Peek! February Issue of Inside Out Magazine

We received a bit of lush greenery in our inbox today from the folks at Inside Out Magazine! It's always nice to get a dose of summer midst our dark and wet winter days; and coincidentally just what the doctor ordered after the rainy weekend we had here! With their February issue coming out this Thursday, Managing Editor, Lee Tran Lam explains all the green inside:

"There's our 'Best Buys' on plant stands, which shows all the ways you can sneak a little greenery into your house (or to add a cheery flourish of foliage to your office). Styling by Jessica Hanson. Photography by Craig Wall.

And if you worry about having a bad plant-killing record, you can always paint them onto the wall and never worry about needing to get out the watering can. That's the look that the 'mini Matisse' in our kid's room story has conjured (OK, in reality, it was the paintbrush of Leah Bartholomew of Beneath The Sun,  that really made that mural flourish). But it's cute to think that that little girl could be such a prodigy that she could pull it off all alone! Styling by Jessica Hanson. Photography by Amanda Prior.

I also love the bright, thriving green that 'climbs' all over the wall of this home, belonging to New Zealand designer, Alex Fulton. She also plants lots of colour throughout – like in the spotty kid's room, which she's decorated with stationery dots and vibrant accessories, or the bathroom where she keeps a 'fruit bowl' of paper food above the sink.  And while it would be a tricky stretch to claim any kind of plant-related connection, I do love this string of tea towels that our stylist Jessica Hanson picked for our 'Best Buys' section. They might bring a little cheer to a chore that no one ever is in a hurry to do. Styling by Jessica Hanson. Photography by Craig Wall."
