Continuing on from Friday's post of what's new at IKEA in Feburary, we have a few more new pieces to add worth mentioning. To start off, how cool is the DALSHULT/SLÄHULT table (above and directly below)? Made with a combination of solid birch legs and a white melamine surface, the table adapts pretty easily to both a casual or more formal look depending on the type of chairs. We love them with the FROSTA stool (as seen above, which gives a more minimal vibe), but it would also look super-chic we think with an Eames dowel-leg chair. It retails for $219 CAD ( $189 US). Seats 4. L185×W90c.
The KRUSNING lamp is pretty cool too and just might be making it's way into our dining room. It's a new lamp designed by Sigga Heimis which can be mixed and matched so that the cord set, base and shade can be personalized to a combination that suits you. $9.99 (US) - Designer: Sigga Heimis.
Other lighting includes the ÖVERUD and NYMÖ series mixing powder coated steel and copper. These look like they'd give off a pretty light pattern.
ÖVERUD lamp shade, powder-coated steel and copper, $51.99 US - Designer: A Wallin Irinarchos/L Widén.
NYMÖ lamp shade, white powder-coated steel and a copper interior, $24.99 US - Designer: Lycke von Schantz.

The RISATORP kitchen cart (below) is another fun addition for the kitchen or craft room. More powder-coated steel, this time mixed with clear lacquered solid birch. $59.99 US - Designer: Wiebke Braasch
RISATORP basket, powder-coated steel and clear lacquered birch veneer. $12.99 US - Designer: Wiebke Braasch
The RIMFORSA series (below) offers up a way to organize the kitchen. Rail $6.99 - $8.99, Hooks $1.99/4pk, Containers $16.99/4pk, Tablet stand $15.99, Holder with containers $29.99, Containers $16.99/4pk, Basket $19.99, Knife holder $17.99, Chopping board $15.99 - Designer: Ehlén Johansson (all in US dollars).
RIMFORSA tablet stand $15.99 US - Designer: Ehlén Johansson
The BILLY bookcase gets a new look. Check out the foil finish option. $59.99 US.
For the bedroom, we like the OPPLAND series headboard. Fabric covered in a soft muted grey. There is also a collection of matching dressers and sidetables both light and darker woods.
OPPLAND queen bed frame, slatted bed base sold separately, stained, clear lacquered ash veneer and fabric cover $449 US - Designer: Ehlén Johansson

The ASKVOLL bed is also worth mentioning. An unassuming look designed by Knut and Marianne Hagberg inspired by the clean aesthetic of Japanese design.
ASKVOLL queen bed frame, Painted finish. $149 US
These are just a sampling of what's to come, also look for new striped bath towels and accessories in IKEA's signature primary colours (red, blue, yellow, green) and textiles which cover a broad style expression from bold, dandelion inspired prints to soft, checkered patterns and neutral tones.

do we know yet when the february things will be available in stores? can't seem to find any dates anywhere ...
I love ikea and we decorated the majority of our home back in the UK with their stuff…it was only an hours drive away for us. They should get more in the US, our nearest one is now an 8 hour drive away! I would pay for delivery, but from what I can see, they don't do it :-(
@lilyelle - they say feb 1st!
threadsandbobbins.com - we've heard that - hopefully that'll change for you.
I love it!!!
