7 DIYs + Ideas for the Home

A little round-up action of some awesome DIYs and ideas for the home I've found this week.  Ever since I saw the serape upholstered chairs at The Line in LA, I've been wanting to do something similar; and now we see a fine example at A Beautiful Mess (below).  Other good stuff? A cool magazine holder and sharpie painted terracotta planter are next on my list! What are you making these days? Here's some inspiration:

 5. Magazine Rack
An idea from Weekday Carnival. No instructions or info on this, but just spotted it today. Love the idea (belts maybe)?

For the magazine rack idea, check out "stirrup leathers," they are the long strap of leather that riders have on their saddle to hang the stirrups. They come with a buckle and punched holes, and would be perfect for this. Depending on the quality of the leather and the brand, they can be quite cheap or very expensive. I have two old ones that are going to be repurposed around a round mirror ;-)
