Guest post by the team at BHLDN, Anthropologie’s wedding brand
At BHLDN, we’re passionate about love stories and all the lovely touches that make a wedding one-of-a-kind. We’re honored to be sharing our favorite Spring 2014 wedding trends during Poppytalk’s month of love and hope our picks inspire you, whether you’re planning a wedding or romantic Valentine’s Day celebration, or even seeking ways to add pretty flourishes to your everyday surroundings.
1) Refined Rustic
Refined Rustic combines simple, charming details with a bit of shine and texture for sophistication. This looks combines vintage and handmade objects with natural fabrics, touches of distressed wood and loose arrangements of wildflowers or blooms freshly picked from the garden (or at least look like they were). Stick to a neutral color palette with just a few rich pops of color.
2) Laser Cut Details
Laser cut wedding décor is one of the freshest trends for spring. From table signage and place cards to cake toppers and chair banners, we love the way the lacy look laser cut décor adds – so romantic!
3) Wedding Gowns with Beautiful Back Detail
Brides today hope to look stunning from all angles on their wedding day and bridal designers have responded by creating gowns with gorgeous back details including cutouts, sheer elements, scoop backs, dreamy lace and embroidery or intricate beading and stonework. There’s a bit of a surprise element to gowns with back detail that captivates brides – and their wedding guests.
4) Drippy Deco Accessories
There’s something timeless about drippy Art Deco jewelry paired with a gorgeous gown. Representing Old World glamour at its finest, Deco jewelry in a bridal palette of clear crystal and pearls adds perfectly placed sparkle just where you need it.
5) Mix and Match Bridesmaids Dresses
More and more brides are forgoing traditional uniform bridesmaids’ dresses and giving their bridal party more freedom to choose a dress style that suits their personal styles and shapes. Ask your girls to stick to a specific hue (i.e. blush) or a color palette (shades of blue), and possibly length if you have a preference, and leave the rest up to them. The result is a unique but still cohesive look.
Another way to master mix and match without the guesswork is by choosing a convertible bridesmaids dress, such as our Annabelle Dress. The color, fabric and general silhouette will be the same but with at least a dozen different ways to wear the straps, convertible bridesmaids dresses are a foolproof way to mix and match. It’s no wonder they’re so popular!

so pretty! I love their jewelry selection!
Renee - me too!
Our wedding was so much work that I never, ever thought I would be one of those people who say they would love to get married again... but these things are so cute that I almost feel like I would consider it! I will live vicariously through my bridesmaid role instead.
Were are the brides maid dresses from??
