New INTERWOVEN Online Course!

Last spring I was happy to learn that Lisa Solomon and Katrina Rodabaugh were offering a textile based online course called INTERWOVEN :: make : thread : art : craft . Due to popular demand they are offering it again this Spring – from March 31 – May 23rd. This time they are extending the class so that you get a week of blog-based instruction and then a week of studio time to work on your projects and get instructor/peer feedback.

The course will cover crochet, soft sculpture, embroidery and mini quilting. There will be technical videos and instructions as well as inspirational posts, interviews with other makers, and discussions about tools/materials and how to take the techniques further.

The private blog website will be available for a month after the class wraps up so you will have plenty of access to the content. There will also be a closed Facebook group, and twitter/instagram hashtags so that you can connect to the other people taking the class. This class is great for both beginners and for people who want to refresh or expand their usage of any of the textile techniques covered. Katrina and Lisa are both experienced, warm and engaging teachers and have been friends both on and off line for years now.
