Etsy + Valentine's Giveaway!



Any day that celebrates love is a good day and today we're excited to be partnering with Etsy and their “Say I Love You With Etsy” campaign! Valentine’s Day is the perfect holiday to gift that special someone a unique item that shows just how much you love them and Etsy is offering a $50 gift certificate to one of our readers to help! My grandma who was my best friend and my dads would make all us grandchildren t shirt quilts. Each quilt had sport t shirts, vacation bible school shirts, super hero and so on. All of our favorite t shirt memories on a quilt. If I could sew, I would make my dad a quilt of all her christmas sweatshirts. She had so many and I know my dad would smile as he is still sad after all these years of losing his mom.

this year will mark 15 years of marriage and twenty years of dating! yes, we have know each other since middle school and started dating in high school. we have now been married 15 years and have five children: 13, 11, 9, 6, and 3. he is the love of my life, and our relationship grows stronger with each passing year. i love to knit and! look forward to spending this holiday (and all that is so come) with this wonderful, talented man! he us the creative director, and I am at home for the children. i often create hand knit items for him to wear to work and be reminded of the hands that made them...

I am not crafty at all, but if I was, I think I might like to make my husband a shirt, and then sew heart shapes in hidden spots (under the collar, or by the neck tag, or inside the buttoning), so he's the only one who sees them when he puts it on or takes it off.

I am moving back home with my long-term boyfriend after living abroad for two years and we are really looking forward to settling down near our family and friends and for all the changes that are about to happen. I can't wait to furnish and decorate our new home so the thing I would make...and will make!... is a really beautiful and comfortable home where we can live happily ever after. I can't wait!
