The ladies of
1Canoe2 introduced a new collection this week,
The Great Wide Open. And what a stunning collection it is! The series (prints on wood) is a celebration of the beautiful, majestic places of their untouched America and a culmination of several months of work. From concept, to painting, to figuring out the logistics for production, to photographing them, they tell us it took them many hours to complete. The Great Wide Open Collection is printed on birch plywood and comes with a sturdy oak frame. Hand-painted in their little red barn. Here's a few pics of their process:
See the entire collection at their shop
here, and more stories about the collection on their blog

These are wonderful! The photos of their process are interesting as well. It is great to see 'behind the scenes' of an artist.
Love this post and the gorgeous Great Wide Open prints. Really cool getting a glimpse into how these come about. How do they print the text over the top? Any pointers you're allowed to share?
