Marimekko Sääpäiväkirja Collection

The new Marimekko collection we got a sneak peek of earlier this year is now available and isn't it beautiful?  ‘Collected by Tas-ka”has the entire line at it’s online store featuring tea towels, plates, bowls and cups and tea set. Part of the series Sääpäiväkirja, which means weather journal in Finnish, Marimekko’s autumn 2013 collection represents the impact the seasonal changes in the weather have on people and their lifestyle. The patterns of  the tableware is designed by Sami Ruotsalainen and the plates and tea towels by Aino-Maija Metsola.  To see more of the Marimekko Sääpäiväkirja visit Collected by Tas-ka.

Greetings from Finland :) The correct translation for Sääpäiväkirja is actually 'weather diary' :)

I love Marimekko! This new collection is fantastic. It feels a little more organic and natural than some of their more iconic patterns...which makes sense if the collection is representing the impact of seasons on our lifestyles. Thanks for the sneak peek Jan!
