Have you had a chance to see some of West Elm's fall collection yet? I was in their store last week and noticed a few things I'm loving (like my favortie storage coffee table now in white - see directly below)! So when their fall preview appeared in my inbox late yesterday, I was excited to take a look. Here's a few I've bookmarked.  To start, expect more gorgeous collaborations like these beautiful handloomed rugs (above and 2nd below) which is part of their exclusive collaboration with Santa Fe’s Museum of Indian Arts & Culture (MIAC). The dhurries are inspired by design elements originaly used in 20th century Southwest Indian objects.



And (left) hand-picked Thai textiles (love these) made into pillows by New Mexico-based women’s collective Southwest Creations, who hand-sew each pillow using a modern diamond stitch. (Right) More dhurries by MIAC.




Lots of new mid-century style pieces. Like this nice clean-lined desk. (Love it floating in the middle of the room).




Other highlights to their fall collection:
-Along with adding 7 new styles, we're told they'll be introducing new customizable options that allow customers to pick everything including the upholstery, the fill and the legs in order to design the perfect sofa for their space.  (Much like the way you can mix and match their dining tables). Also we're told there will now be 10 sofa options under $1,000.
-Their fall color crushes: Cloud Blue, Rainforest Green and Chocolate
-More collaborations: Included with the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture, are Carla Peters with pottery inspired by leaves in Thailand, James Harrison (traditional furniture shapes with modern updates), and Lubna Chowdry (hand-glazed ceramic tiles in green and bronze that transform lamps, coffee tables, storage pieces, mirrors and dining tables).
