The newest issue of Covet Garden magazine is out featuring the happy home of a couple named Michelle and Glen. As mentioned in the magazine and by the looks of it, "it feels as if their home has been painted with a sunbeam", lots of happy, cheery stuff going on; including the fun shelf above their bed –which I thought should be added to our Cool Decorating Tricks collection. That color palette is a dream! Who could be sad in a kitchen like that?! Just looking at that photo of the bedroom is making my day that more sunnier.

I love the phrase "it feels as if their home has been painted with a sunbeam." Looking at the pics made me smile. There is happy innocence about the place.
I am madly in love with the dishtowel. My grandma makes me the ugliest dishtowels and I feel bad if I don't use them. So an attractive dishtowel is something I long for.
I love all of the little accents! So bright and cheerful. They really pull it all together.
I absolutely adore the hole-in-wall bookshelf. Love this!
That shelf is a pretty good trick. I guess you have to think of it pretty early though, like when the building is being designed.
