I love this photograph of matches from the Travel issue of T Magazine. It reminds me of my childhood, when many adults still smoked and packages of matchbooks and boxes like this sat in ashtrays waiting for guests to use. My sunday reading suggestion this week takes us wandering and to The New York Times and their Travel Issue. Click here to read. Happy travels, happy sunday, happy reading!

I love these! I used to have a few really decorative cigarette boxes that I kept around, too.
Oh you're so right! That just took me back to my childhood. You never see matchbooks anymore. Such a dying piece of the past.
I love this photo. I have my Aunt's vintage matchbook collection and just love looking through it:) Some beautiful covers etc.
Xo
matchbook are so photogenic. they're one of my favorite places to go for inspiration - always the best packaging designs!
The packagings are lovely - such a nice collection. Shame they seem to be disappearing.
Thanks for sharing!
