We're kicking off our special "Real Weddings Month" with the beautiful Canadian wedding of Amanda and Simon that recently took place in beautiful Lake Louise, Alberta. Kirstie Tweed of Orange Girl sent in this absolutely stunning set of images of a wintery wedding scene. The December wedding took place at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise which included taking the entire wedding party for a gorgeous mountain sleigh ride. Favorite thing –the splash of blue tuile in the back of her dress and how the horses in one of the pics below seem to be in love too! Check out more pics below (vendor information at the bottom of the post).
Some notes about Amanda & Simon's wedding;
-Amanda's dress was custom made for her and featured flowers that were from her mother's dress
-The fabric bouquet had two pocket watches attached to the stem, one that was on Canadian time and one that was on Australian time
-After the ceremony guests were given hand warmers and invited for a sleigh ride around Lake Louise before settling in for a private dinner
-The hand warmers were from an Australian store called Typo.

OMG!! I've always thought that Lake Louise was the most beautiful place in North America, but never would have thought of getting married there since we're in BC. That's all changed now! Thanks. :)

Wow. Can't get over that scenery! Gorgeous.
Is it childish that my first response was "GNOME SOCKS! DAVID THE GNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOME!"?
On second thought, don't answer that.
I love this wedding. They seem like such charming people! Send along congratulations from the Internet!

Anyone know where the bride's fabulous fur-collared coat is from? In love!
What a gorgeous couple and a beautiful back ground for a winter. Love the horse drawn carriages. As always it makes for a splindid painting. The Wedding Painter Artist of New York City - William West

Wow. Wow. Wow.
Those pictures and all of the little details in them are amazing!
It is extra sweet seeing the affection of the couple and the "seeming" affection of the horses.
