Fiona and Doug of Cartolina just finished an amazing DIY table and office expansion to accomodate their new shipping and distribution system they are changing to this year. Doug built them a new shipping room with a space devoted entirely to packing boxes along with this fantastic table using plumbers, cast iron pipes and fittings. Isn't it fantastic? Luckily they're sharing how it's made on their blog including downloadable plans! My mind is now spinning with possibilities! (Click here for the link to the DIY and free downloadable plans to make)! A few more pics below.
Visit Cartolina online and be sure to check out their cool iPhone apps including their new mailroom app which includes retro-inspired templates to communicate with your clients (so awesome).

What a great design!
What a wonderful desk - it has a workshop charm to it! I love the way there's a pole across the shelving brackets to hold paper - a simple, yet ingenious idea!
Thanks for sharing!

That table is simply incredible! but the link isn't working... I think this table is going to end up being my "craft" table when we rearrange the family room! It is truly spectacular!!
(Oh and the comment above me is definitely spam.)
That table is simply gorgeous! Hopefully I can talk my boyfriend into making it for our new place :) Thanks for sharing!
FYI, the link to the plans is broken. :)
Gorgeous! Love the piping underneath and how warm the room feels.
I wish I had the space to install a mailroom :)
But anyway; beautiful!
Sorry friends - fixed the link!

Absolutely charming! In love. I love how sturdy this is, but it has such clean lines.
I so need this table!!!!This is my next DIY for sure.
Will try this soon!
Oh my this is lovely. We have been looking for a table for our daughter, this may be he one. Thank you
I have been trying to convince my mom to help me make a dining room table for months...(we still don't have one because I WILL NOT buy one, it's become a personal vendetta: me vs the retail table world). But so far mother has insisted that this is not possible, it wouldn't be sturdy enough, pretty enough. THEN, this post. I immediately forwarded it to mom with a subject line that read, "BOOM." Her response, "Now that is cool. And possibly something we can do." So again, I repeat, BOOM! Thank you for posting this and finally helping me get through to my mother.
I've been wanting to swap out my boring old trestle table workbench for something with a little more character to it for a while now, so these plans are very timely.
Thanks for the link!
Cheers,
Tasha

Ah! seu blog é lindo... :)
Love this table! Thank you for sharing. My husband and I used your plans this weekend to build a desk/workspace. We stained & sealed an old door for the top. It turned out awesome! Thanks again.
Wow! What a great idea! I love it!
Hello! Thanks for the awesome post : ) Can you tell me where to buy the cast iron piping?
Hi there,
Is there supposed to be a link with the plans?
Thanks,
Chad
