Los Angeles shop tour :: Poketo

Guest post from Andrea at lotus events

Piggybacking on Jan's "The Art of the Holiday Display" post, coincidentally my next guest post shop tour brings us back to Poketo - and for those of you unaware, Poketo (pronounced poh-KEH-toe) is located in the Arts District of sunny Los Angeles. Owners husband and wife, Ted Vadakan and Angie Myung, describe Poketo as "an online destination and brick and mortar shop for design-driven wares that take art off the gallery walls and into people's lives." Let's take a look shall we?

Featuring all of the goodies on the Poketo website, you will also find some exclusive surprises in the shop such as Tattly tattoos, hand printed leather clutch wallets, and those beautiful fabric origami necklaces by Yoko Minemura pictured above. Poketo also hosts art shows and other public events throughout the year including the Moveable Type mobile letterpress print shop that I was lucky enough to attend last October!

Poketo Shop, 820 E 3rd Street, Los Angeles, CA 90013

Stay tuned tomorrow when we visit Reform School in Silver Lake!
