Inspiration: Scenic Wall Murals + Tapestry

So I've found myself lately being pulled in a certain direction with interiors that has sort of struck me by surprise.  Scenic wall murals/papers and tapestries have been catching my eye as of late when before I would have thought them as more decoration for say, my mother or grandmother. Like Toile de Jouy, there's updated versions emerging as seen earlier this year - note at Salone 2012 and Charlotte Lancelot's rugs, poufs and wall hangings, and then spaces like Abbey Nova's brilliant DIY version in her New York bedroom (above). {I like it best when paired with modern furniture - although pictures are hard to find}. At the same time I've always been inspired by vintage handbags and train cases with tapestry fabrics (I've always wanted a Marry Poppins bag)! So for today, a little tapestry and mural inspiration below. Happy Monday!
