Weekend Project: A Fall Vignette

Yay it's Friday and design weekend here in Vancouver!  IDSwest and the One of a Kind Show is happening together this year along with a few other party happenings so Janis and I hope to have a few pics next week of some of the highlights!  In the meantime, an image I've been saving this summer for "our fall" from one of my favorite magazines, Inside Out Magazine out of Australia.  I love everything about this little vignette they call, "woodcutter cool" from the tartan and army-blanket cushions to

the wood stumps and forest wall image/artwork. A perfect room for fall don't you think? And perhaps an idea for a weekend project! I'm thinking of searching out some army or rescue blankets at the army surplus store and maybe some flannel tartan sheets to make cushion covers and I've been eyeing a few abandoned stumps over at a nearby schoolyard.  It's time to move into fall (in this part of the hemisphere anyway) and I'm looking forward to cozying up with a fresh space. Image from Inside Out's Jul-Aug/12 issue | Photography by Sharyn Cairns | Styling by Glen Proebstel.  Happy Weekend!
