Picnic at Salton Sea + Friday Links

Picnic at Salton Sea by Pinecone Camp (Janis Nicolay)

I'm smitten with the above print by Janis Nicolay (the pink sand is calling my name) and it would go so well with this large format print I just got recently too (don't you think)?

Great photo. However, it is very hard to eat when next to the Salton Sea. The smell is unbearable. Beautiful print nonetheless. :)

The sand is so soft at the Salton Sea that one man who was going at an incredible amount of speed was ejected from his car and unto the sand didn't have a single scratch on him. Not on bone was broken. Fun fact of the day haha.

I would agree with Natalie, it does have a certain scent that is not for everyone ;) and the sand is definitely very soft. Salton Sea is a pretty incredible place. I'm happy you like the print - thanks so much!
