I was admiring the new basement flooring of Jennifer (of Rambling Renovator) recently; doesn't it look great? Her and her husband just finished installing it and it's definitely worth a pop over to her blog to take a look. I also noticed the art of Canadian artist Alanna Cavanagh on the wall (I love that pop of orange against the white walls and light flooring) - it's the perfect spot for it. After seeing that print it reminded me that Alanna is hosting an Open House + Studio Sale this Saturday Sept 15th 12-6 pm if you happen to be in the Toronto area.
Alanna was a participant with us in our market last month and is participating with The Queen West Art Crawl (her Artscape neighbours). The address is Artscape Triangle Lofts, 38 Abell Street, click here for more details. (The Trinity Bellwoods Art Show is the same day so after you've left the park just continue West). There will be great deals on Prints, Artist Proofs, and Greeting cards + refreshments. Added Bonus: You get to snoop through several artist's studios!

Yes! I love Jennifer's makeover too. And, I'm certainly smitten with Alanna's beautiful artwork. I've always loved that A Room of One's own print. It's so punchy and pretty.
