We've
finally been having some of those hot summer nights that I remember
from my childhood and, although our air conditioner definitely takes the
edge off, I like nothing better than opening the doors and windows
after dark and letting any hint of a breeze inside. The concept of
outdoor rooms that can be enjoyed year round is becoming the norm in
home design and, with the exception of potential mosquito infestations, I
love the idea! Here are some of my favourite looks, some with screens
and some wide open to the great outdoors....

How
will you be keeping cool over the balmy weekend ahead? I'll be dipping
my feet in the kid's kiddie pool and enjoying a cold beverage or two!
Cheers!

Oh wow. This is such a great collection of indoor/outdoor spaces. I especially love those chain suspended beds in the Quentin Bacon photo.
My favourite is the conservatory type room with the triangular table and the wicker chairs. I love the autumnal colours, and the hint of green on the cushions pulling in the green from outside. What a gorgeous room!
I AM CRAzy for roll up doors! great post!
Oh, this makes me feel a little bit sad because our summer is ending - it hardly begun...at least one have pics to look at when the summer goes away...love the light in spaces!
Those chevron pattern floors in the first photo are beautiful!!
