DIY: Ombre Sharpie Bedding

I'm a little late to the Sharpie DIY world, I've been seeing bits and pieces here and there, even went on a hunt for a "ceramic" one - one day in Michael's.  Even they didn't know what I was talking about (now I'm thinking there probably isn't one - and people just use the regular type).  But whatever the case, I'm kind of liking all the sharpie DIY's out there.

Like who knew.  For someone who thinks they have a huge radar scanner, these ones sort of were in stealth mode. What started this post was the latest issue from House and Home where Style Editor, Stacey Smithers made this ombre bedding set using sharpies, sprayed with rubbing alcohol.  I remember a t-shirt idea passing by me last year that used coloured sharpies, but this one's more sophisticated and rather all grown-up!  (Photo by Michael Graydon).  (Related:  I did a post on 20+ DIY Sharpie Projects I found recently on Babble.  They're all pretty awesome! OH my goodness i love these DIYS! I think that the pens you are talking about are Porcelain pens. The ones you bake in the oven? The ones I have are by Pebeo, I think.

But man, Sharpies are so versatile!

I know I pinned a Design Mom's sharpie underwear DIY last year sometime, but kind of had forgotten about it! My next project making a duvet cover for my 9 year old son and I have already bought raw cotton thinking of custom printing something, but this is just perfect! Also I can't beleive the person at Michaels didn't point you to the porcelain pens!
