Japanese washi masking tape brand mt tape
is having a 'mt factory tour' event in Kurashiki located in Okayama
prefecture from 15 -27 May 2012. It is their first factory open house
event and I was happy to be one of the lucky participants.
The
tour consisted of a walkthrough on the raw materials they use and the
process of how the tapes are cut and packed for shipping. You can also
see the detailed writeup on mt tape's website here.
Besides
a tour around their factory, there were also a few event areas set up
especially for this tour period. One of the highlights was the amazing
mt store where they launched some of their latest products and limited
edition tapes.
Here's a new series called 'mt CASA' for decorating your home.
There was also a wide variety of limited edition tapes only available during the tour.

So happy to have found your blog, hopping over from FARMLASS. I've enjoyed all the recent posts and am a fool for everything paper. Thanks for the mt tour and for your printable downloads (labels being a current obsession). A wonderful site, thank you.

I wish they made MT fabric, then I could make some cushions!
OMG! Even the bus is covered in the cute tape---oh, maybe not---but it's fun from start to finish. I love seeing how things are made and would love to go on this tour.
wow, so cute! i'm definitely tempted to buy some mt tape, and that kitchen is perfect.
I couldn't decide what color to use in our nursery so I just ordered a bunch of this off of a site mt CASA. I came across your site looking for ideas you should do some!
