Cool New DIY Book: Reinvention by maya made

Today I'm thrilled to be participating in a blog tour promoting Maya Donenfeld's (maya made) new book, Reinvention: Sewing with Rescued Materials (published by Wiley). As some of you I'm sure already know, Maya is incredibly talented and creative, and this new book is a beautiful extension of that. Maya's new book shares her projects, ideas and her down-to-earth philosophy to natural living. We love how she recycles things and creates objects of art while still bringing use to them as well.  I'm seriously thinking of trying to make the poufs project (see image below) using recycled wool blankets.  Love them.  Reinvention: Sewing with Rescued Materials is available through Amazon.com. Check out the other blogs participating in the tour after the jump (which includes interviews and special posts).

I have been thinking about a pouf as well and see decent enough for a project wool blankets when thrifting.
I may just have to pick up the book.

I love recycling things, there are so many amazing projects you can do with "waste" before throwing it in the garbage. Love this one!

Love this book idea! I'm going to check it out. I bought a full length wool jacket at VV last winter that is large enough to make into a pouf cover... can't wait!
