Paola Navone: Euphoria for Eumenes

image © designboom

With all the summer-like coloured furniture popping out of the woodwork this past week  I'm longing for a warm summer day. The 'eu/phoria' project is a chair designed by Italian designer Paola Navone for the Italian company Eumenes. Navone transformed synthetic textiles typically used for mass production (e.g; car interiors, shopping bags) translating them into the form of a comfortable monocoque shell seat. The chair's support structure is painted steel and comes in 8 color variants.  Via designboom.  (Found via Pinterest).
