Inspiration: Watercolours
House and Home's March issue is out and of course I'm loving their weekend decorating project using inspiration from watercolours. Using thick brushes and swift, loose strokes they created a fresh modern set of paintings then framed in white frames and matting. Other ideas include a watercolor wallpaper over canvas (bottom) and fabric painting (diluted with water) to create a roman shade. Produced by Stacey Smithers and photographed by Michael Graydon. Pretty spring inspiration!

I love, love, love the new water color wallpaper trend. simply gorgeous!
thats great. also, this method of painting with watercolors is similar to a technique called vieling - soft wet brush, long strokes, light colors. its so nice they use it in art therapy. :)
sorry thats veiling, like a veil. haha yay for typos!
I really like the soft watercolours in the first photo - the white frames really make them stand out.
Also like the artwork to the left of the door in the third photo - beautiful colours.

The first photo is amazing--I might be copying that one
Love the idea for watercolor wallpaper as art. I have been looking to add some watercolor looks to my house. These are great. Thanks for sharing!
