Why are you promoting such an incredibly racist product, the afro wig modeled by a white women? I love your website and I am incredibly saddened by your bigotry.
Really? You're offended by an afro wig. It's all for fun! There are Pocahontas costumes and geisha costumes too. Get over yourself!
Do you understand the cultural and historical importance of the afro?
Do you understand the cultural and historical importance of the afro? And yes I am also offended by Pocahontas costumes. Do you have any idea the poverty level of reservations in the United States? They are 3rd world countries. The poorest county in the United States is in a reservation. The rate of sexual assaults and rape is terrifying. Dressing up as Pocahontas is a slap in their face and an incredible sign of entitled ignorance. I see geisha costumes no less insulting than posing for pictures by slanting your eyes or buying those horrible t-shirts Abercrombie had to recall.
Racism and discrimination are not "fun" for those being oppressed, raped, murdered and generally forced to live under different rules in our society.
David and Becky,
We apologize if this has offended you or anyone, and just want to make it clear that wasn't our intention whatsover.
In fact, E - one of Poppytalk's co-founders is a minority, and it's the last thing we would ever want to do.
