I arrived in Paris on Thursday night to attend Maison & Objet, one of the largest international interiors trade show and source some gorgeous new designs for the shop (more of this later). As I'm staying with my sis' until Tuesday, on Saturday we paid our usual visit to MERCI, Paris' fabulous concept store.
This
time, MERCI was celebrating Japan with gorgeous packaging, calligraphy
and simple, utilitarian objects, beautiful to look at.
For
the fist time, the floor dedicated to lighting, furniture and home
accessories didn't really rock my boat but I loved the men's corner
which had a great combo of industrial furniture, soft cashmere jumpers
and beautiful leather bags.
On
the top floor, my favourite corner was their linen corner, piles of
gorgeous table and bed linens in hues of grays, mustard, crispy white,
the kind of bed linen shelves I dream to have at home (with actually
someone else to do the ironing bit).
Saturday
was boiling hot in Paris so Elodie and I had a drink at the MERCI's
cafe and it was quite funny to see the crowd coming in and out of the
shop...I hope these few pictures will make you feel as if you were
there...
