Botanical Beauties

Guest post by Mr Yen

Hello everyone, this is my first guest post in a mini series about botanical beauties and the many ways they are 'illustrated'.

Today I've chosen several striking images that have been created in a variety of ways, from original watercolour paintings and digital illustration to prints of original pencil drawings. Botanical/floral designs are very popular at the moment, especially with this time of year too, so I thought it would be fun to show you some inexpensive art that has these themes.

It's variety that I will be focusing on in these posts and these artists from Etsy have many more floral delights for you to find in their shops.

I hope you enjoyed this post, my next post will be about photographic botanical beauties!

Mr Yen (also known as Jonathan Chapman) studied at Leeds College of Art and gained a BA HONS in Graphic Design. After leaving University in 2010 he had the opportunity to work on a few freelance design projects for companies such as Computer Arts Magazine and LYNX. In between freelance projects he creates hand cut papercut artwork that is for sale here. Visit him online at and
