My favorite was the summer of 2004 in Seaside, FL. My husband and I had just started dating and spent our days enjoying conversation as we kayaked thru the lakes to the beach and spent many nights overlooking the beautiful Gulf of Mexico from Bud & Alley's roof top bar... It was wonderful. The best summer of my life!

every year we would head up to the White Mountains in NH. my favorite memory is walking to the Basin and hiking up the waterfalls to swim in the mountain pools.

My favorite memories of summer are walking up and down the beaches in Frankfort, Mi on lake michigan and exploring the sand dunes with my brothers and sister for rocks, driftwood and of course buried treasure!!

I like to think that I am creating memories for my children right now - last summer (Australian) we were lucky enough to buy a caravan near the beach south of Sydney. We had such a fun time and can't wait for summer to come around again.

I love remembering summer time spent with my cousin and her parents in the cottage in national park. Being there without electricity, hot water... and eating a lot of mushrooms.:-)

my best summer memory :
from greece as a child...
Watermelon boats after seabathing for many hours. we sat on the stairs, and pushed our faces into the juicy slice. The juice ran down our stomach, and we ogt so sticky hands, cheeks and bellies. And wasps came right away and were flying around and around, and we had to run away, laughing and screaming. we just had to jump in the water again. Grandmother peeled figs and put them in the fridge for a while. They were sweet, soft and refreshing in the heat. Dinner with mullet in the pan, fried potatoes and green salad with lots of lemon and olive oil. And we would run to the nearest mini-market (run run it closes soon, I won, I won!) To buy chocolate spread that would be eaten on a bread slice the morning after. Climbing on trees (help me down pleeeeease), finding starfish and let them dry in the sun to decorate grandmother`s fireplace, making shadow theater with old cardboard boxes and invite the whole village. This after the evening had come. showering in cold water from the hose. And then falling asleep exausted watching lizards on the roof, in a house that creaked, mysteriously. "Is anyone there?"....

love this art work. love it! thanks for a wonderful giveaway : )

My favorite summer memory is camping in central Oregon when I was young. The smell of hot pine needles drying out in the sun... racing bicycles through the campground... the cool water... feeling free of the adults...eating everything with our hands, outside...

As a kid my brother, my dad and I would go to the beach with out shovels and start to build.
Castles, ships, dams, harbours...

Now my sons and I do the same. :D
