The malibu beach home of Courteney Cox is featured in Elle Decor this month (July/Aug/11) and I couldn't help but notice how refreshingly low key it is. A few notes; the large beachy Vitali photograph hanging on the wall in the photo (directly below) and the log end table, the vintage stools contrasting against the white cabinetry in the kitchen (note no upper cabinets), the indoor/outdoor kitchen/patio tiles, the patio bar/kitchen that looks like a food truck, the desk in the bedroom, and not to forget the outdoor banquette. A really nice Malibu retreat. Renovated by architect, Michael Kovac and designed by Courteney's good friend, Trip Haenisch (with Courteney involved in every step of the redesign). Photographed by Simon Upton.

I really like the decked seating area outdoors - would be great for late night chats and drinks!
I agree on the outdoor seating area, its lush.. Oh how the other half live <3
Heaven!!! I want to live here. The outdoor deck + fire pit is beyond amazing. Thanks for sharing.
am thinking I might like a malibu beach house....
fee x
just perfect!
Really like the kitchen chairs, have a school-marmish charm. It's difficult to find Elle deco in England sometimes, is it very different from Elle Decoration UK? This would be standard stuff for UK version.
Can anyone identify the desk in the last photograph? I've been looking everywhere for something like that! Thanks!!!
anon - i too, wanted to know, but it doesn't say in the article.
Anyone know who did the painting in the 1st photo? Love that! Thanks!
