Margaret Kilgallen at MOCA's "Art In the Streets"

A must-see if you're in Los Angeles right now and you're a fan of street art and graffiti is the Art in the Streets exhibit at the MOCA .   Art in the Streets is the first major U.S. museum survey of the history of graffiti and street art presented in the United States.  Included is the work of the late (and Poppytalk favourite), Margaret Kilgallen.  Fun fact: Margaret's work is featured on the cover of April's Juxtapoz magazine.  Read a write-up about the show here and her show-stopping part of the exhibit. The exhibit runs almost all summer long (April 17 - August 8th, 2011)!  (All images juxtapoz.com).

I love Margaret's work in the documentary "Beautiful Losers" (have you seen that?). She is inspiring and totally holds her own in the man's world of street art.
