Something Blue
I was drawn to all these blue hues in the pages of April's Livingetc. Stylist Harriet Paterson embraces the colour creating a relaxed and free vibe using various decorating techniques from special painting effects, pasting a frieze, mixing graphic prints, decorative graffiti, dying linen sheets to make curtains and my favourite, painting untreated floor boards in a spectrum of blue wood stains. Photography by Adrian Briscoe.

This was my favourite story from the issue! I love blue in interiors and fashion!
You can never ever have too much blue!! and I adore the ikat covered walls! wow!
I just love the interiors in this image.I love this photographer Adrian Briscoe.
gorgeous aren't they. the UK edition for April of Elle Deco has a similar feature on painterly blues.
Don['t get me wrong I love Livingetc, HECK I worked for the magazine and I love Harriet but the first image don't replicate people because I promise you will hate it within months. I remember not so long ago sitting in a editors meeting with the team and seeing a similar wall finish in an issue from the early 2000's. We all said "OMG what were we thinking".
What a beautiful use of color, thanks for sharing!
Oh my! I saw this and then went off and made a blue etsy treasury! Very inspiring, fresh and 'spring' like.
I love the blue and this blog is very inspiring! Good design!

I love the Ikat walls as well as the graffiti. They look great.
I've been dreaming of a living room in these colors. It's very difficult to find a good blue rug though.
