I first hesitated about posting this kickstart project for a couple of reasons. One, wouldn't we all want to go to an art camp in Sweden and be taught by one of our idols, and two, posting this might set a precident and three along with the focus needing to be with the recent natural disasters. But then I watched the video, and near the end of it I seriously sobbed. I sobbed because part of me wishes I was in her shoes, and because I can just sense that Amy Rowan of Art School Girl will truly be thankful for this opportunity (you can just feel it). And along with these disasters, I also think, life is so short. They say dreams can come true and wouldn't we all just love to make that happen for someone? Check out Amy's kickstarter project page here. Good luck Amy!
A graduate of The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Amy has degrees in both fine art and graphic design. Check out Amy on the internet:

That said, I hope she makes it and I'm glad you're doing your bit to help her get there. x
I'd jump at that course too.
And Amy seems like a really lovely person.
Right now I'm so focused on helping those who have been caught up with all the natural disasters, esp in my community.
Thanks for opening up this dialog. I've been working on my campaign for three weeks now. When I launched on Friday the first news of the Earthquake was just hitting my ears. To say the very least my launch was inopportune. As my campaign picked up momentum the news coming from across the world got worse and worse. The disconnect in emotion for me was glaringly present. Full of hope and love with this campaign and full of loss and despair for the victims of yet another incredible natural disaster. My heart aches at the lives lost and devastation, as I know yours does.
Re: Giving
Each year at tax time my accountant shakes his head and smiles in disbelief at the large amount of my small income I've donated. He doesn't understand that what drives me is passion (and love) not money.
I personally love the platform of Kickstarter. I can donate a few dollars and get a reward for my support while being able to watch somebody's story unfold or dream come true.
Thank you all for having a look at my video and having this discussion.
Warmly,
Amy Rowan
